Hello everyone, we just wanted to send a short update to give you an idea of what is going on in Barcelona. First of all, we love you all and are so thankful for each one of you! We hope that you are doing well and finding peace and rest in the Lord in a time when the world is in unrest. We know we serve a God who is more powerful than anything the world brings.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4: 4-7
This past week has been a huge blessing for both of us. We had friends and family come to visit us here in Barcelona. It was so sweet to be able to spend time with them and for them to see what our lives are like here. They were able to join us in some of the exciting things God is doing here in Spain and join us in our weekly prayer meeting. We thank the Lord for our time with them.
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
There may be a temporary quarantine here in Barcelona but we are doing well and have stocked up on the necessities. Here in Barcelona, as well as all over the world, people have a lot of fear. We pray that during this time we can help others see the love of Jesus and that He cares for us. Last night we had a very small number for house Church but we used that time to pray and give thanks to God.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
We are praying for you all. If you have any specific prayer requests we would LOVE to be in prayer with you, feel free to respond to this email.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! January flew by so quickly and we wanted to send out an update to share with you what God is doing here in Barcelona. We are so thankful for each one of you and your prayers and support! Since we sent out our last update letter this is what has happened.
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our Thanksgiving in Barcelona was such a bitter sweet time. We missed our family and friends who were not here with us yet also were able to celebrate with people who had never had Thanksgiving before.
Howdy amigos! It has been far too long since we last talked. This update is going to be packed to the brim with juicy details on what we have had the privilege of seeing. God is adding to the nations represented in His kingdom and we want to celebrate with everyone!
After a year of preparing for this moment we have finally arrived in Barcelona! We have been here for 2 weeks now and it has been filled with so much joy and peace, but also mourning the people and things we have left. The Psalms have been a real encouragement during this time.
This is the day we have been preparing for. Our last day in Austin is May 24th, and then June 6th we take-off at 18:30 from Houston Intercontinental Airport. Our last few weeks in the US will be spent with family in Houston. When we get to Barcelona the work begins with getting adjusted and finding a house to stay in. We have an AirBnB that the 6 of us will be sharing for the month of June.
We hope everyone is doing well! We wanted to start off by thanking you guys for being a part of what God is doing in Austin and for your constant encouragement as we get ready to launch here in the next few weeks- it means so much to Emily and I. Here is an update of what God has done this month!
We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some warmer weather! Over the past two months things have been pretty busy between traveling and ministry.
If you couldn’t tell by the greeting, we just got back from Australia! 😉
Some of our team has family in Australia, so we got to tag along and also had a lot of ministry work planned during the trip! But before we spoil anymore, here’s a recap of what God has done this past month:
Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since we have sent out an update, it has been very busy with the holidays. We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Tony and I were able to spend Thanksgiving with Tony’s family in Ohio and Christmas with our families in Houston. Praise God for the time we were able to share with our family about Jesus and care for them.
Sorry for the delayed post this month, we wanted to make sure we packed it with everything that God was doing in and through us. October was very busy with odd jobs that we picked up to continue to pay bills. It was a blast working ACL and catering a friends wedding.
